Runner Comments

"Great Race !! GREAT Venue !!! I will be there every year & will recruit my running friends!

AWESOME ROUTE, FUN!! CHALLENGING, SCENIC, PLENTY OF GREAT FRIENDLY PEOPLE, GREAT SUPPORT!! FOOD / WATER / ENERGY AT STATIONS WAS GREAT"
-- Eric Bridgman, BB & Mystery Machine (Masters Men)

"What a great event!  My team had a great time and plans on coming back next year, possibly with more teams. Also, great job on the post race feast!"
-- Jonothan Lacey, Paging Stan Jablonski (Open Men)

"Thanks once again for a fine race. We always enjoy it and appreciate that you listen to us and really care about the runners and their safety and that they enjoy the event as well.  The weather was almost perfect and the course was beautiful, the hand-off stations were attentive, helpful and caring.  What more could we ask for???"
-- Mary Wenck, Sole Sisters (Masters Women)

"Thank you for a wonderful experience. This was my first CanLake50, but not first relay, and must say above all else how well organized things were.

1) The perfect distance and number of legs. The shorter relays, such as marathons, that don't offer the team interaction over a long period of time and the longer relays require more planning, dedication, time, and countless number of other commitments.
2) It went by so fast I forgot to eat.
3) It makes an ultra tempting.
4) Don't forget to look around, the vistas are so incredible you might miss something."
-- Shyri Marazita, Reach the Beer H3 (Mixed Masters)

"We had so much fun and will look forward to being there in 2009!  The scenery is beautiful, the course is challenging, the people are great and there is nothing else around like it.  It is a great team outing!!"
-- Susan Stage-Derick, Sole Sisters (Masters Women)

"Fun day spent with friends around the scenic lake, can be a little hot being at the mercy of the sun while on pavement, volunteers at all the aid stations were excellent...we enjoyed chatting with them."
-- Karen Grover, Team Athena (Open Women)

"Very scenic, fun way to spend a day with your running friends"
-- Monika Wood, Sole Sisters (Masters Women)
